Pecel or a Java Traditional Salad with peanut sauce is popular in East and Central Java. The reason  it is called Pecel  it is called Pecel Beringharjo because the location of selling is in front of Beringharjo market.


Ibu Tumiyati’s own pecel business is a family business which has been initiated over 30 years. The reason why it is called Pecel Beringharjo because its location is in front of Beringharjo market. It opens from 9 a.m. up to 5 p.m. The customers are varied; among student, local people, even foreign tourists; among London, Australia, and Dutch. Pecel Beringharjo is so well known in Jogja, so it is often used as a spot news coverage by the journalists.

Description:
Pecel is one of Indonesian culinary heritage, especially for Java culinary art. It consists of over boiled vegetables and peanut sauce. The vegetables are usually water spinach, long beans, papaya leaves, and in East Java often used Kembang Turi. Pecel is one food at affordable price and contains a high nutrient. The variety of side dishes as pecel supplements like fried tofu and tempeh, salted egg, hati ampela, perkedel jagung, until empal and paru, and traditional cracker called Peyek. Pecel can be categorized as a Java traditional salad with peanut sauce. Pecel is usually served with warm white rice. Pecel is popular in East and Central java. It can put on a plate or in a folded banana leaf called Pincuk.

·         Bayam
Bayam contains energy 36 kilokalori, protein 3,5 gr, carbohydrate 6,5 gr, fat 0,5 gr, calsium 267 mg, fosfor 67 mg, and zat besi 4 mg. Besides that, bayam also contains vitamin A, B1, and C.
·         Papaya leaves
Papaya leaves contain energy 79 kilokalory, protein 8 gr, carbohydrate 11,9 gr, fat 2 gr, calsium 353 mg, fosfor 63 mg, zat besi 1 mg. Besides that, papaya leaves contain vitamin A, B1, and C. Papaya leaves can also aid digestion.
·         Long beans
Long beans itself is a good protein. It contains vitamin A, thiamin, riboflavin, besi, fosfor, and kalium, a good source for vitamin C, folt, magnesium, and mangan.
·         Kembang Turi
Kembang turi itself contains protein 1,8 gr, fat 0,6 gr, carbohydrate 9,6 gr, calsium 23 mg, fosfor 29 mg, zat besi 1 mg, vitamin A, B1, and C.
·         Peanut sauce
Peanut sauce itself is made of peanuts are rich in protein.
